Staffordshire Highways TORiser case study
Staffordshire Highways in conjunction with framework partner Amey installed TORiser on Staon Road,
Rolleston on Dove, in January 2023.
The feedback from the installation team was ease of handling and speed of install against the traditional
concrete of brickwork . At less that 7KG it made for a single operative installation.
M6 class ii mortar or specified modified mortar can be used and pointed in the same manner it would be for concrete or brickwork.

Inspection November 2023
The gully grate was lifted and TORiser and mortar were inspected. No defects or failure were reported.
Product is performing as designed.
Inspection 26 March 2024
Again the gully grate was raised and
the unit inspected for defects.
The result was again no faults or
failure.
Product performing as designed
The result is Staffordshire
Highways approval for use
on their network.
